Mark Hagler
UNIX since age 14. Infrastructure by trade, single malt by hobby.
I'm Mark. I've spent my whole career in technical infrastructure: telecom, cloud, data centers, and the platform teams that keep large services up. These days I lead that kind of work, and I spend a lot of time on where AI actually fits into real systems without setting anything on fire.
It started on a farm in the middle of Nebraska, where I got hooked on UNIX at 14. That was a weird thing to be into at the time. It has been the through-line of most of my life since.
Away from the keyboard: three dogs I love very much, travel, long dinners with friends, cooking, and an ongoing education in single malt Scotch and cigars.
